Video: Blues On The Guitar (2)

The Pentatonic Minor Scale

is a good tool for improvising over a simple blues.

The video starts with a short improvisation and a depiction of the fingerings.

All fingerings are using the same tone material. A blues in f sharp uses the notes f sharp, a, b, c sharp, and e. Starting with these five notes, you may develop the remaining chromatic notes.
Once you know all fingerings, improvising and moving over the fretboard becomes easy and effortless.

In the left corner, you see the fretboard with the fingering and some figures.
The red figure stands for the number of the fret.
The blue figure stands for the lowest note of the fingering.
The green figures stand für the remaining intervalls of the fingering in relation to the lowest note.
